As advertisers clamor for ever more compelling ways to distinguish themselves and reach their target audiences, John Manlove Marketing & Communications (JMMC) has unveiled MANKIND, a new in-house branded content studio for the agency’s clients.
“MANKIND aims to produce relevant storytelling that humanizes a brand and meets the marketing objectives of our clients. With an in-house studio, we are able to have complete creative freedom and produce industry leading creative content,” said Leah Howard, Chief Strategy Officer who will oversee the studio.
MANKIND will play a key role in the overall branded content strategy for several of JMMC’s clients, as well as, the American Advertising Federation – Houston. MANKIND will be headed by Eddy Henry, Chief Creative Officer and Creative Director, “The studio will serve as an important production arm for scripted series, influential interviews, reality “moments” and other content distributed for TV, online viewing and social media.”
CREATIVE OPPORTUNITY
The creation of the MANKIND studio is an extension of the agencies MANKIND MANIFESTO started several years ago. A recent opportunity to buy-out some high-end studio equipment from a well-known production company in town provided the opportunity for JMMC to push their mission of creating influence forward. The 2,000 sf studio space has kicked the initiative into high gear with complex lighting equipment, green screen capabilities and a white wall for interviews or product shoots to provide JMMC’s clients multiple onsite possibilities. The plan is to partner with regional editing and production companies that will provide an endless supply of talent, diversity and creativity.
“Creative is the new advantage. Technology continues to level the playing field so creativity has become the dominate differentiator. Without compelling creativity you are doomed to be shoved into the commodity category. We are a creative agency that understands the importance of brand personification. We manage all of the complexities of a marketing campaign and this studio is another way of doing that. We provide our clients with complete campaign confidence and this is another tool in our tool box.” Explained, John Manlove, CEO.
JMMC does not charge retained clients to rent the space it is an added value. “As media channels multiply, it becomes more efficient to have this in-house studio. Our agency has a reputation for being resourceful and this is just another example of that resourcefulness. This is another way of providing our clients with a competitive advantage,” Mrs. Howard said.
